Sapien Health is proud to announce they are one of twenty one digital health companies selected for this year’s cohort of the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator programme. The participants selected for the 2022 programme have digital solutions or services that have the greatest potential to meet London’s health and social care challenges.
Now in its sixth year, the accelerator is a partnership between London’s three AHSNs (Health Innovation Network, Imperial College Health Partners, UCLPartners), MedCity, and CW+. It is supported by the Mayor of London and is part-funded by the EU’s European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The DHL scheme aims to speed up the adoption of innovative technology by the NHS in London. Over the course of a year, SMEs will be offered bespoke support and advice, an NHS Navigator mentor, and a programme of expert-led events and workshops giving them the tools they need to scale.
Jenny Thomas, Programme Director, DigitalHealth.London, said:
“We are delighted to announce today the 21 digital health companies joining our sixth DigitalHealth.London Accelerator cohort. The application process for this year’s programme was competitive as ever and as such, the final 21 companies truly are the ones to watch in the digital health space. We look forward to working with them and continuing to play our part in supporting the NHS and social care through digital transformation.”
Theo Blackwell, Chief Digital Officer for London, said: “The DigitalHealth.London Accelerator ensures that London is at the forefront of digital innovation in health and social care. Many of the digital health technologies and products that are currently supporting our NHS staff and patients have come through the Accelerator. I’m excited to see the additional benefit of DigitalHealth.London’s international partnerships this year which will provide the opportunity to spread some of the fantastic innovations happening in the UK and to learn from developments in the US.”
Sonia Patel, Chief Information Officer, NHSX, said: “The DigitalHealth.London Accelerator programme has established itself as an important player in supporting the NHS and social care to make the most of the opportunities digital health offers. I look forward to seeing the next group of innovators bringing their solutions to London’s NHS.”
Dr Robbie Huddleston, Chief Medical Officer, Sapien Health, said: “We are delighted to be involved in the 2022 DigitalHealth.London initiative. One need only look at what past alumni have gone on to achieve to understand the value of the support that the programme offers. We are excited about the next 12 months and the learnings to be gained in progressing Sapien to the next stage of its development.”
